Nikos Papandreou, Member of the European Parliament and President of the Hellenic Iraqi Business Council (HIBC), spoke at the Delphi Slemani Forum, highlighting the Council’s dedication to fostering stronger economic ties between Greece and Iraq.
He participated in the panel “Strengthening Cooperation Between the Region and the European Union” alongside H.E. Dara Rashid Mahmud, Minister of Planning, Kurdistan Regional Government, Anna Diamantopoulou, and Omar Shaban, exploring practical ways to boost trade, investment, and institutional collaboration.
In the session “The Role of Iraq and the Gulf in Global Markets,” with Sheikh Saad Hassan and Shishir Priyadarshi, he underscored Iraq’s and the Gulf’s strategic importance as connectors between East and West, reaffirming HIBC’s commitment to building sustainable business partnerships.
